Fiorentina: Badelj Staying In The Club
Fiorentina have released a statement announcing that one of their players Milan Badelj has decided to stay at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The midfielder is out of contract next summer, and is expected to leave Florence ahead of the new season.
AC Milan, Inter and AS Roma are all linked, and his agent had begged the Viola to allow his client to leave.
However, it seems the Croatian defensive midfielder has a change of heart, and is now happy to live in Florence.
“Milan Badelj will wear the Viola shirt in next season,” Fiorentina said on their official website.
“The club has welcomed players to stay at Fiorentina, which is where the midfielder shows great enthusiasm for the new season overseen by coach Stefano Pioli.”
The Viola have lost a number of first-team players this summer, with Gonzalo Rodriguez, Borja Valero, Matias Vecino and Federico Bernardeschi all leaving the Artemio Franchi Stadium.
Nikola Kalinic is also likely to leave, with the striker expected to join the Rossoneri this week.
